Last year, the Oregon Society of Translators and Interpreters collaborated with former Oregon Poet Laureate Kim Stafford to send Kim's poem for peace around the world.
The result was a book featuring translations of the poem "A Proclamation for Peace" into 50 languages, 10 of which are available here.
This July, calls for peace and mutual understanding are still needed everywhere, and at every level.
Kim Stafford and OSTI president Allison deFreese will host this Zoom event July 9th to revisit the theme of peace and language. Come and read a translation from the book A Proclamation for Peace, or bring a poem about peace written in your language along with an English translation of it.
