The Oregon Society of Translators and Interpreters (OSTI) is hosting a networking experience to build community. OSTI members Allison deFreese and Romina Espinosa are joining forces to answer your questions about the T/I field.

-Do you want to get started as a freelancer in literary translation?

-Do you dream of a full-time job like Romina did as a medical interpreter at a US research hospital?

-Curious about Individualized Education Program (IEP) and education interpreting? Interpreting for bone marrow transplant patients? Psychiatric evaluations? How to handle end of life medical interpretation encounters? Current cancer therapy options? Self-care tips? Poetry translation?

Yes! Allison and Romina have experience in diverse translation and interpretation fields.

This is a free event and everyone is welcome!

You can arrive whenever you like!

Then on Saturday , March 30, 2024  join Romina and Allison from

2:30 - 4:00 PM for a delicious meal at

Rain or shine, OSTI looks forward to having a casual conversation with you about the topics above and more! This is a fantastic opportunity for both new and seasoned translators and interpreters to come together and learn from each other. Romina is visiting us, OSTI members and community, from San Diego, California for the weekend.
