OSTI will host a lunch at Afuri Ramen. This is a fun and delicious summer event that will make us come together over food and stories!
-Did you grow up eating Borscht? Lomo Saltado? Tlayudas? Lasagna? Sambusas? Curry? Other dishes?
-Were these delicious meals made with love by your grandma, grandpa, mom, auntie, or caregiver? Were those recipes passed on to you?
Share recipes from your country or culture, stories behind them, and find out how to prepare new dishes!
As a diverse organization serving translators, interpreters, and our large language access community, OSTI is delighted to host this community building experience.
Dishes from our native lands and those of our ancestors have history and culture!
Our food staples of choice (e.g. rice, potatoes, and corn) are connected to our ancestral roots!
This will be a fun event and everyone is welcome!
You can arrive whenever you like!
*Just bring one recipe to share with everyone!
This event is free to attend for OSTI members and non-members!
This is not only an opportunity to network, but to create meaningful connections while enjoying Japanese cuisine in our vibrant city of Portland.
