OREGON SOCIETY OF TRANSLATORS AND INTERPRETERS
2017 ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The Oregon Society of Translators and Interpreters (OSTI) is an organization that fosters ongoing professional development in the fields of translation and interpreting. It allows colleagues of all languages and specializations to stay informed and connected.

OSTI is seeking presentations, workshops, and activities for its 2017 Conference, to keep within this year’s theme of “Tools of the Trade”. The workshops should promote professional development for translators; court and medical interpreters. We want to support an engaging learning environment where participants, as well as presenters, become an essential part of the educational process.

We encourage creative and groundbreaking concepts, revolutionary theories and vision for presentations and activities geared towards our conference theme.

Whether you are a local Oregonian or coming from out of State, this is a great opportunity to visit Portland, the City of Roses. Explore the region’s many natural wonders: Mt. Hood, the Oregon Coast, Multnomah Falls, and the Columbia River Gorge, to name a few. Experience the city’s renowned culinary scene, from food carts to innovative and award-winning restaurants, from local breweries and wineries to artisan donut and ice cream shops. Portland awaits you!

Deadline for submissions is June 15, 2017
