Health Care Interpreter Scholarships for Qualification and Certification

News from the Oregon Health Authority:

We are now accepting applications for the Health Care Interpreter Program Scholarships! Funds will be awarded to Oregon residents (or those who can provide verification that their service area includes the state of Oregon) to fulfill requirements for Health Care Interpreter Qualification or Certification, including training, testing registration, and incurred transportation costs. Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of the applicant’s experience in and/or commitment to the health care interpreting field and financial need. Priority will be given to the languages represented within Oregon and to Health Care Interpreters who provide in-person services in settings affiliated with Oregon’s Coordinated Care Organizations. To be considered, please submit your application by November 1, 2013. You may find the application here!
